OVERVIEW
DAWN is a tactical TTRPG influenced by the "Battle Shonen" sub-genre of anime and manga. It's a mechanically crunchy but dense, at a brisk ~130 pages. The game illustrates and explores three unique worlds the players could tell their story in, as well as giving instructions on how a group would make their own world in the style of the work that inspires DAWN. Every player controls a hero, with a fill-in-the-blanks ability that lets the player create a power unique to them, whether they can [Create] [Fire], or [Eat] [Energy. This is also reflected in combat, where all characters gain access to magic and physical attacks by default, allowing any character to utilize that custom ability regardless of their build.
KEY FEATURES
- Tactically deep, with 100+ different techniques for players to mix and match freely, and dozens of enemies to use them against.
- Combat is THE focus of the game, and every mechanic comes together to make for an incredibly engaging experience; however, it makes an effort to make those systems approachable.
- The game provides quick "recipes" that let players make their own interpretation of popular styles of play or tropes, and is designed so that the systems don't slow down players.

- Combat is played on a 7x7 grid, meaning there's no need to make elaborate boards to play at more casual tables; it could even be played on a chessboard if needed.
